Making your dreams a reality
Monday 2nd November, 2026

A stroll through MOR Interiors is an inspiring way to spend an afternoon. It’s guaranteed that by the time you leave, you’ll have mentally revamped your home from top to bottom.
Will it be the kitchen, with a quartz worktop, Smeg fridge, Quooker hot tap and moggie/doggie customised drawers? Or maybe a jungle bathroom, with leaf-print tiles and rainforest shower – and if you’re feeling really flush (pun intended), a smart toilet with remote-control spray and blow-dry, oh la la?
Interior designer and sales advisor Abbie Brenton is at hand to bring your dreams to life (or rein in flights of fancy). The design service is free to customers, and a crucial part of ensuring the end result is the best it can possibly be, both for you and your home.
“When a customer comes in, I like to have a chat. I want to get a feel for their personality and style, find out what their house is like – modern or traditional? - and the projects they’ve got going on,” Abbie explains. “Some have no clue what they want, others know exactly what they are after, while some just want to see what I can do.”
Abbie recommends coming armed with examples of styles that appeal – say a moodboard, Pinterest feed or magazine articles. And of course, there’s the showroom: “If they are happy to, I’ll walk around with them and see what they are drawn to, from decorative styles to opening drawers. Then I’ll advise them accordingly, bearing in mind any offers we have on.”
Once she’s tapped into your thoughts, Abbie will draft out a design and send it over with examples, including catalogues and tile samples. Next up are measurements, which need precision to ensure no awkward gaps or tight spots, especially with fitted furniture. “I project manage the installation, and will always go on site and meet builders, working closely with them to make sure items I’m about to order will fit properly.”
From a tiny WC to a steam room with sauna and outdoor shower, no project is too big or small. Mor Interiors will work on everything from kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms to annexes and boot rooms. “Anything you can fit furniture into, really.”
There are trends, of course – autumn has seen the return of orange and dark green, and black is also making a return – but the most important thing to remember is that you have to like it, all year round.
Prices start with the affordable express ranges to more luxurious brands. The devil is often in the small detail – a matte finish here, a fluted door handle there – so don’t be tempted to skimp on these, lest you compromise the overall look.
Mor Interiors employs its own fitters, meaning the team will see the project through from start to finish.
Unsurprisingly, illustration graduate Abbie is “a people person” who relishes making people’s dreams come to life. “I love making people happy with something we’ve designed. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing a project finished, signing it off and taking photos for social media.”
And if you simply fancy a decent cup of coffee, Mor Interiors’ vintage copper Citroen H van serves hand-roasted coffee from The Roasting Room in Newquay, freshly ground to order to ensure the highest quality from crop to cup. Stick your head into the showroom during opening hours (weekdays 8am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm) to order your caffeine shot.
