Keeping energy costs low with WeSave

There’s nothing so certain in life as bills, bills, bills – and if you’re trying to get costs down for your business, then you should enlist the help of WeSave in Newham’s Meridian House. Together, Rob Stapleton and Alex Joyner take the stress out of switching supplier, managing the energy contracts for commercial clients across Cornwall and beyond.

These include businesses of all types and sizes, from sole traders right up to some of Cornwall’s largest, best-known brands. “Any company with a premises is a potential customer”, says Rob.

How it works: once a client has confirmed their business address and meter, WeSave has access to over 20 leading UK electric and gas suppliers, from big names like British Gas, EON and EDF to smaller suppliers that offer competitive prices. “We have direct contacts with each one, enabling us to negotiate great rates, and come back with a full comparison breakdown in an easily digestible format,” Rob explains. Furthermore, they can often beat any renewal offer businesses get from their current supplier.

The client is left to consider – no hard sell or hassle here: “Our service is built on trust, not pressure, which is why we have 100% five-star reviews on Trustpilot.” Once a decision has been made, WeSave will handle the whole switching process and remain on hand throughout the duration of the contract, acting as the first point of contact for issues from billing queries to portal access. “Clients are busy running businesses, and appreciate a full wraparound service.”

Is cheaper always best? Not necessarily. “There are suppliers who price well but suffer from poor customer feedback for things like inconsistent billing, hidden charges or being impossible to talk to,” says Rob. And customers are not always looking for the budget brand. “Sometimes, our clients prefer to go with a more expensive but recognised name, for peace of mind.”

Because no two businesses are the same, WeSave will always recommend contracts that match each client’s usage patterns, specific requirements and sustainability goals, including the best available green energy options. For larger businesses, including those with high consumption or multiple premises, WeSave can also run a structured tendering process to help secure bespoke pricing from a range of trusted suppliers.

Passionate about giving back to Cornwall, WeSave proudly supports local charities and community organisations including Surfers Against Sewage and Plant One - through the latter, they fund the planting of a new tree in Cornwall for every energy contract arranged. WeSave is also a sponsor and Official Energy Partner of Truro Rugby Club.
