City of Truro Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets form part of the UK’s oldest nautical youth charity. Being a cadet at our unit, you will get the opportunity to go to sea, learn to sail, how to tie knots, understand how to read a map, look after yourself in the field and gain extra qualifications that will stand you in good stead for your adult years. Sea Cadets are aged from 10-18 years. Royal Marines Cadets are aged from 13-18 years.
As a charity, our unit is run by volunteers with a range of skills to teach cadets everything that the Sea Cadet Corps has to offer. If you don’t fancy wearing a uniform you can become a part of our Unit Committee that supports all the training that is provided.
